Kate Hudson Splits

WWW- The Skeleton Key’ and ‘How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days’ star Kate Hudson is to separate from her rocker husband Chris Robinson.

Goldie Hawn’s daughter and the Black Crowes singer had been married for nearly six years before announcing the split on Monday through Hudson’s publicist.

“Kate Hudson and Chris Robinson are splitting up after nearly six years of marriage,” Brad Cafarelli said simply, according to People magazine and celebrity website TMZ.com.

After a whirlwind meeting in 1999, the now 27-year-old actress dated the now 39-year-old Robinson for seven months before the pair married at the home of Hawn and her long-time partner Kurt Russell on New Year’s Eve 2000.

They have a two-year-old son, Ryder Russell Robinson, born on January 7, 2004.

A few months later, in September 2004, she talked to People magazine about the birth’s impact on her marriage.

“We're sharing something so gigantic now. I think it's the best we've ever felt being together.”

Almost a year later she spoke to ET about her happy family.

“[Ryder's] great. It's so much fun!” she gushed at the ‘Skeleton Key’ premiere.

“He's getting so big and it's happening so fast. We don't spend much time in Los Angeles. We spend a lot of time in New York, but we're pretty much on the road experiencing our life.”

But, ironically, in a recent interview with Elle magazine she claimed there was no such thing as the perfect marriage, possibly hinting that a break-up was imminent.

“I don’t like this idea of the perfect marriage,” Hudson told Elle magazine.

“People can be in love madly and deeply and go through so much and still end up together. That’s what you hope for.”

She also warned that marriage wasn’t easy.

“No one should get married if they think it’s going to be a fairytale.”
